Progress formed 5 years ago with the merger of the band Tone Color Massive and the artist Innate. Both with having spent most of their lives living for music. Together they grew to encompass many funky styles, from Blues, to hip hop, rock and latin carib. The brotherhood gained through the music carries the intent behind the sound. With their eclectic mix of styles and personalities they have played over 75 shows throughout New York City in the past 3 years. The philosophy is the groove, both in work and in music, they play for the steps forward. Its music with a conscious, told with a sense of humor. Looking at life through the perspective of the outsider. Both carrying the weight of the past, the hope of the future and.... tacos

lyrics

No it don’t make no difference
If the world ain’t gonna change, yeah
No it don’t make no difference
If the world ain’t gonna change

It was all politics and bullshit
Politics as usual
How you find your end
Hope you find a friend
Can we make it right
Can we make it right
Right out of this slum into what we want to become
Into what we dream of
and all I dream of is love so lets live

No it don’t make no difference
If the world ain’t gonna change, yeah
No it don’t make no difference
If the world ain’t gonna change

Came up from the same place you came from
We all went wild we all went dumb
We all tried to create what we become
We all came out the womb numb
Numb to this pain
Numb to this world
And I live and it’s insane
And I’m trying to go against the grain
Swimming upstream
Living my dreams
Living my Progress
and yes

No it don’t make no difference
If the world ain’t gonna change, yeah
No it don’t make no difference
If the world ain’t gonna change

And I was fascinated by it
Didn’t know I’d buy into it
The illusion of it all
The drinks the alcohol
And I didn’t know that I would by into it
We’re all pursuers of it
But there ain’t nowhere else to go

No it don’t make no difference
If the world ain’t gonna change, yeah
No it don’t make no difference
If the world ain’t gonna change
